A bit of recent dance action at the Floyd Country Store, recorded via cell phone part-way into a Black Twig Pickers set, can be seen [here](http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BhhVxgU4Rjs&mode=related&search=) and [here](http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mEV7v_QShRs).
"Unabashed mania" was Nathan's description, and I think it's a good one.
Also, this weekend is the Charlie Parr-Black Twig Transmutation Travelers Virginia rampage through Roanoke, Blacksburg and Charlottesville. Here are various pertinent links (some of which were sort of buggy in various emails that've gone out, sorry): a bit of Charlie playing ["God Moves on the Water"](http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=851LEY-e7lk) last month in L.A., a [Minnesota Public Radio interview](http://minnesota.publicradio.org/display/web/2007/05/30/chalie_parr/) about Charlie's newest album, "Jubilee," with some in-the-studio playing, a live ["Miner's Lament"](http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2cxwC3mHE3w) from the UK last year, and of course [Charlie's site](http://www.charlieparr.com).
Also, here's a website for the [Thorntons](http://www.myspace.com/ephraimvausememorialstringband), or the Ephraim Vause Memorial Stringband, as they like to be known, who are playing at Saturday's house party with Charlie and the Twigs.
