Black Twigs fiddler Ralph Berrier Jr. is publishing a series of articles this week in The Roanoke (Va.) Times that is perhaps the most informed description of the old-time scene in Southwest Virginia yet written. Check both the articles and accompanying multimedia hoopla (the mix-your-own-bluegrass-song is goofy, but kind of fun, I guess.
