Black Twig Pickers: Black Twigs weekend

Hello, all: Just a quick reminder of the Charlie Parr/Black Twig Pickers shows this weekend. You won't want to miss Charlie Parr's first swing through Southwest Virginia.

Friday, 9:30 or so until finish, Green Dolphin in Roanoke; cover is probably $5.

Saturday, 11 a.m.-noon, WPAQ Merry-go-round, Mount Airy, N.C. and live on 740 AM.

Saturday, 6 or so, Thornton Joe-Eaton-is-heading-downtown-BBQ, Shawsville

Saturday 9:30 until the fiddler's drunk and the fun's all over, the Cellar in Blacksburg, no cover.

Parr and Twigs cds will be available throughout, of course.

The no-repeats-all-weekend dare already has been challenged, but the goal will be to stretch and play a lot of things that haven't been played for awhile, or at all.
